Smith, who reportedly suffered a back injury after jumping and landing awkwardly, was diagnosed with a pinched nerve.
Doctors told Smith to rest his back during the group's day off on Thursday, but said that he should be able to perform during the group's scheduled set in Maryland on Friday. Limp Bizkit is on the road as part of Metallica's Summer Sanitarium Tour.
The Recording Industry Association of America, which represents the five major record labels, has won more than 870 federal subpoenas against computer users suspected of illegally sharing music files on the Internet, the Associated Press reports.
The move is part of the RIAA's recently announced plans to try to curb Internet file sharing of copyrighted music by filing lawsuits against individual computer users. The organization expects to file hundreds of additional suits in the next eight weeks.
Rapper Fabolous , who earlier this year was arrested and charged with criminal weapons possession after police found a loaded handgun in the vehicle that he was traveling in, plans to file a $5 million wrongful-arrest lawsuit against the city of New York. His attorney told MTV News that police brought charges against the rapper despite allegedly receiving proof that the gun was owned by and licensed to a bodyguard who was also in the vehicle.
Pioneer Entertainment plans to release a spruced-up, DVD version of The Who 's classic 1979 documentary "The Kids Are All Right" on Sept. 30, according to Billboard magazine. The DVD was mastered from a newly restored print, and was remixed in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS surround-sound formats.
