R&B star R. Kelly releases his first greatest-hits album, titled "The 'R.' in R&B Collection Volume 1," on Sept. 9. It will feature his latest single, "Thoia-Thoing," which was recently shipped to radio.
Among the album's other tracks are "Bump N' Grind," "Your Body's Callin'," "Down Low (Nobody Has to Know)," "When a Woman's Fed Up," "I Wish" and "I'm Your Angel" (featuring Celine Dion).
"Inside Out: Warren Zevon ," a VH1 documentary that, according to a press release, follows the singer-songwriter "through his personal journey with [his] terminal illness and chronicles the development, production, and impact of his album 'The Wind,'" will debut on Aug. 24.
Zevon was diagnosed with a fatal form of lung cancer in August of 2002.
The documentary is hosted by Billy Bob Thornton, and features interviews with Jackson Browne, Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood and Zevon's two children. Throughout the show, Zevon discusses his health struggles and speaks about how his condition has affected the development of the album, which is scheduled to be released on Aug. 26.
"Come Feel Me Tremble," a documentary that chronicles Paul Westerberg 's 2002 solo tour, debuts on July 25 at San Francisco's Delancey Street Screening Room.
According to a press release issued by the Noise Pop Film Festival, which is hosting the premiere, the film is comprised largely of video footage shot by fans, and it features Westerberg both on stage and off.
"In between the sound checks, song snippets and audience sing-along, he discusses his former band, The Replacements ('It was our job to fail ... on as big a scale as possible.'), his personal history, the art of songwriting and his reputation as one of rock's finest lyricists."
More information about the screening is available at the Noise Pop website.
Pittsburgh-based rock foursome The Clarks have been added to the lineup of Rolling Rock Town Fair IV, which takes place on July 26 at Pittsburgh's Heinz Field.
As previously reported, Blink 182, Puddle of Mudd, 311, Def Leppard, Sum 41, Saliva and Trapt are also on the bill.
Former Sony Music exec Tommy Mottola has signed on with Universal Records to revive the dormant Casablanca Records imprint. Casablanca was the '70s home of KISS, Donna Summer, The Village People, Parliament and many others.
