Goo Goo Dolls reveal plans for summer, fall headlining dates

Though the Goo Goo Dolls will spend much of the summer touring in support of Bon Jovi , the group is also laying out some headlining dates for late summer and early fall.

The hard-touring Goo Goo Dolls are on the road to support their 2002 album, "Gutterflower," which peaked at No. 4 on The Billboard 200 album chart and spawned the hit singles "Here is Gone," "Sympathy" and "Big Machine."

When it hit stores, "Gutterflower" was the first album of new material from the Buffalo, NY-bred band in more than four years. It followed "Dizzy Up the Girl," which has sold nearly six million copies to date, according to Warner Bros.

"Gutterflower," which was written by Rzeznik and bassist Robby Takac, was produced by the band with longtime collaborator Rob Cavallo.

A 22-track Goo Goo Dolls retrospective titled "What I Learned About Ego, Opinion, Art & Commerce" was released in the fall of 2001.
