Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds set North American dates
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have scheduled a quick North American jaunt that leads up to the Aug. 26 release of their first DVD, "God is in the House."
The June 16-26 tour kicks off with a two-night stand at the Warfield in San Francisco and continues with stops in Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto. It wraps up with two nights at the Roseland Ballroom in New York.
"God is in the House" was filmed during a June 8, 2001, live performance at Le Transbordeur in Lyon, France. The 14-song concert features Cave and the Bad Seeds--Mick Harvey, Blixa Bargeld, Thomas Wydler, Martyn Casey, Conway Savage, Jim Sclavunos and Warren Ellis--playing songs from eight of their 12 studio albums.
The DVD also features the documentary "No More Shall We Part--The Recording Sessions," directed by John Hillcoat, and videos that he directed for the singles "As I Sat Sadly By Her Side" and "15 Feet of Pure White Snow.' " Jarvis Cocker of Pulp and Jason Donovan make cameos in the latter of the two.
