Beyonce concert comes to pay-per-view, movie theaters
Beyonce Knowles' first full solo concert performance will be broadcast live on pay-per-view television this weekend, and will play at more than 20 U.S. movie theaters later this month.
The concert will also feature performances by Beyonce's Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams; actor-singer Tyrese; Knowles' sister Solange; and the girl gospel group Ramiyah. The planned three-hour show--which takes place in Dearborn, Mich., as part of Ford Motor Company's 100th anniversary celebration--will wrap with a short set by Destiny's Child.
The pay-per-view broadcast begins at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (6/14); more details are available at the show's website.
Beyonce's debut solo album, "Dangerously in Love," will be in stores on June 24. Among the guests who contributed to the set were Missy Elliot, Jay-Z, Sean Paul, Mark Batson, Mario Winans, D-Roy & Mr. B, OutKast's Big Boi, Rich Harrison, Fanatic and Scott Storch. Beyonce duets with Luther Vandross on "The Closer I Get To You."
Fans who pre-order "Dangerously in Love" via Beyonce's website will have access to a free digital download of the bonus track "I Can't Take No More."
