Alan Jackson [ tickets ], Kenny Chesney [ tickets ] and Rascall Flatts were the big winners at Tuesday night's 38th annual Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony in Las Vegas.

Each of the three artists landed a pair of awards. Jackson pulled down Album of the Year for "Drive" and Video of the Year for the album's title track; Chesney took home Top Male Vocalist and Record of the Year for his song "The Good Stuff"; and Rascal Flats snagged the Top Vocal Group award and Song of the Year for "I'm Movin' On" (written by Philip Brian White).

Single-trophy winners included Toby Keith [ tickets ], who came into the event with eight nominations, and left with the trophy for Entertainer of the Year; Marina McBride, who won the Top Female Vocalist award; and Brooks & Dunn, who were crowned Top Vocal Duo.

Up-and-comers Joe Nichols and Kellie Coffey snagged the New Male Vocalist and New Female Vocalist awards, respectively, while Emerson Drive won the Top New Vocal Duo/Group award.

The event revolved around award presentations, but live music was the highlight: Darryl Worley performed his No. 1 pro-war hit "Have You Forgotten?"; Lonestar--who won the fan-voted Home Depot Humanitarian Award--performed "I'm Already There"; Shania Twain performed "For Ever & for Always"; Alabama--recipient of the Pioneer Award--performed "Tennessee River"; Rascall Flatts performed "Love You Out Loud"; and Keith Urban did "Raining On Sunday."

The Dixie Chicks [ tickets ]--who were nominated in three categories but came up empty handed, and whose name elicited boos from the audience when mentioned among the nominees for Entertainer of the Year--performed "Truth No. 2" live via satellite from their concert in Austin, Texas. That concert--despite the widely reported and perhaps overly sensationalized backlash against the group due to singer Natalie Maines' anti-Bush remark at a London concert in March--was, like many of the group's current tour dates, completely sold out.
