LeAnn Rimes maps out spring and summer tour plans
LeAnn Rimes continues to support last year's "Twisted Angel" with a number of live performances that are scattered throughout the coming months.
Rimes' current itinerary focuses primarily on the western U.S., with dates scheduled during May, July and August. Tickets for a number of shows are on sale now.
"Twisted Angel" hit stores last October. The album features the cut "Life Goes On," the music video for which is streaming at Rimes' official website.
Rimes, who attended a writing camp prior to making "Twisted Angel," worked on the album with producer-songwriters Peter Amato, Desmond Child and Gregg Pagani, according to Curb Records. She is credited with co-writing four of the album's tracks.
"I had so much to say for this record," Rimes said in a statement. "All the songs have a relationship to my life because I had input into all of them, even the ones I didn't specifically write. I went in, spilled my guts and told them, 'This is what I've gone through and this is what I want to sing about.' I was involved in every part of the process, which turned out to be an amazing experience. This is the first time I've been allowed to completely explore and do the things I wanted to do musically."
Rimes gained fame in the country and Christian music markets, but "Twisted Angel" leans more toward mainstream pop.
Now 20 years old, Rimes delivered her major-label debut, "Blue," when she was 13. The hugely successful set is certified quintuple-platinum for shipping five million copies in the U.S.
