They Might Be Giants tour for adults and kids
Quirky college-rock mainstays They Might Be Giants , who released a children's album titled "No!" last summer, are on the road this spring to play a mix of shows for children and adults.
The enhanced children's CD features 17 songs (among them "I Am a Grocery Bag" and "Robot Parade") and extras, including animation, games and a sing-along scroll bar. Details and samples from the album are posted at the giantkid.net website.
Last year, Rhino Records issued a 52-song anthology titled "Dial-a-Song - 20 Years of They Might Be Giants." The package features the well-known tracks "Don't Let's Start" and "Birdhouse In Your Soul," as well as the GRAMMY®-winning song "Boss Of Me," the theme to the Fox-TV sitcom "Malcom in the Middle." It also includes a full-color book with lyrics, a discography, and essays by the band and National Public Radio's Sarah Vowell.
"Gigantic," a new documentary about They Might Be Giants by music video director AJ Schnack, premieres on May 23 in New York City. Details about the film's theatrical run are posted at the movie's website.
