Chris Cornell Tour Rolls Again In February

Chris Cornell will resume a tour in support of "Euphoria Morning," his solo debut, in February. A month of North American performances have been scheduled by the former Soundgarden frontman, mostly in markets he passed over in 1999.

Cornell began his tour last year with a brief stint of European dates. He followed that with a month-long North American tour that focused on large cities. Further touring plans should be forthcoming from Cornell's camp later this year.

His touring band includes keyboardist Natasha Shneider and guitarist Alain Johannes from the Los Angeles band Eleven , as well as bassist Ric Markmann and drummer Greg Upchurch. In what was seen by many as the last gasp of the Seattle grunge scene, Soundgarden disbanded in 1997 amid reports of internal bickering. In a statement issued this month on his official website, Cornell said that he now feels a sense of satisfaction when he looks back on his time with the band.

"Overall, it was a very unusual, memorable time...I feel really lucky to have been a part of it. I'm really getting a sense of what it meant or what it means to me now. A lot of it is a source of pride."

Earlier this month, Cornell received a Grammy nomination in the Best Male Rock Vocal Performance category for the track "Can't Change Me.''
