Concert broadcast launches limited edition Bon Jovi album, video
New Jersey rock outfit Bon Jovi has teamed up with electronic retailer QVC for an upcoming concert broadcast and the release of a limited-edition audio/video set.
On April 12, QVC will air two live, 30-minute segments (from 11:30 p.m.-midnight and 12:30-1 a.m. Eastern Time) of Bon Jovi's scheduled concert in San Jose, Calif., where the band is touching down as part of its ongoing tour behind last year's "Bounce."
Prior to the live segments, QVC will air a one-hour special that will "give viewers a backstage glimpse into [Bon Jovi's] soundcheck," according to a press release. During that program, which is due to air at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, the band is also scheduled to talk with QVC host Lisa Robertson, and to take phone calls from fans.
The televised events coincide with Bon Jovi's release of a limited tour-edition CD and DVD/VHS package that features previously unreleased performance footage. QVC is the set's exclusive seller.
Later this month, Bon Jovi will wrap up the North American leg of its "Bounce" tour.
