Bone Thugs-N-Harmony keep rolling behind 'Thug World Order'
Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone and Layzie Bone--a.k.a. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony --continue spreading their message of a "Thug World Order" during their spring tour.
The Cleveland-based rap quartet has locked down a number of April and May dates, and plans to add more stops to the itinerary soon.
Released last October, "Thug World Order" is only the fourth full-length album that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony has released over the course of its 10-year recording history. The group's members have spent a considerable amount of time pursuing solo careers between their collaborative efforts.
According to group member Krayzie Bone, "Thug World Order" is part of the group's ongoing mission to create a following of "thugs" as opposed to "gangsters," between which there apparently is a difference.
"It's basically what we've been trying to organize ever since we came out," Krayzie said in a statement. "We wanted to have a following of a whole lot of thugs and if you listen to what is going on in the industry today, that's all people are talking about and claiming to be, thugs. You haven't heard nothing about gangsters. We were trying to create a Thug World Order that we'd be running. We aren't finished with it yet."
In addition to using the album as a rallying cry for thugs, the group also sends a message out to some its female fans on the track "Not My Baby."
"When we were young, everybody wanted a piece of us," Wish Bone explained in a statement. "They'd never seen it like we did it when we made it in Cleveland. We were some damn fools. You get more and more girls and every girl we ran into was like, 'Oh, I'm pregnant.' They wanted money but we came to find out they were lying.
"We had to say something on that because we love the ladies and everything," he continued, "but there should be something out there to protect the fellas."
In addition to catching them on tour, the ladies and the fellas can see Bone Thugs-N-Harmony during their April 22 and May 20 performances on "The Jenny Jones Show," the latter date on which the show tapes its final episode, according to the group's website.
