The musical "Chicago" was the big winner at the 75th annual Academy Awards on Sunday (3/23), but rapper Eminem [ tickets ] and his co-writers walked away with the night's best-song trophy.

"Chicago"--which was up for 13 awards--won six Oscars in all, including best picture. Catherine Zeta-Jones picked up the award for best supporting actress. During the ceremony, she also performed "I Move On," a song from the film, with "Chicago" co-star Queen Latifah.

Awards for best art direction, editing, costumes and costumes rounded out "Chicago"'s haul.

Eminem, Jeff Bass and Luis Resto picked up the best song award for "Lose Yourself," from the film "8 Mile," which stars Eminem. Though all of the other artists who were nominated in the best song category performed during the ceremony, Eminem wasn't present.

Resto, wearing a formal jacket over a Detroit Pistons jersey, accepted the award. "[Eminem is] creative," he said. "He has symphonies in his head. He's a good man. He has a good heart."

Other best-song nominees included Paul Simon ("Father and Daughter" from "The Wild Thornberrys Movie"); Caetano Veloso and Lila Downs ("Burn it Blue" from "Frieda"); and U2 [ tickets ] ("The Hands that Built America" from "Gangs of New York."

Elliot Goldenthal won the Oscar for best score for "Frida."
