Bush To Launch U.S. Tour On Holiday Radio Circuit
British alt-rockers Bush -- who are in currently America for the release of their album "The Science of Things" -- will play a series of radio station-sponsored concerts in the U.S. during the holiday season.
According to Trauma Records, Bush isn't planning to embark on a full-fledged headlining tour of North America until the spring. Until then, however, the band is involved in flurry of promotional activity. Tuesday alone (10/26), the band was scheduled to appear on the Howard Stern radio program, at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square, and on MTV's Total Request Live.
The Bush camp has confirmed four U.S. appearances for December, starting with a Dec. 4 show at Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee. There the band tops the bill for WLZR's ''Not So Silent Night Xmas Show,'' which also features Buckcherry and Days of the New .
On Dec. 4, Bush is set to appear at Chicago's Allstate Arena for radio station Q101's T6 concert, which also features the Foo Fighters , Moby, Blink 182 , Run DMC, Filter, Fiona Apple and Oasis.
The band is scheduled to appear at Detroit's Cobo Arena on Dec. 5 for a show sponsored by radio station 89X. Oasis and Blink 182 are also on the bill.
And on Dec. 6, Bush, Buckcherry and the Bloodhound Gang will appear at WRZX's 5th Annual Christmas Concert at Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis.
The band will spend much of November playing concerts in Great Britain.
''The Science of Things,'' the band's first studio album in three years, features 12 new tracks penned by Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale during the last year.
