Fleetwood Mac opens North American outing in May
Fleetwood Mac has lined up extensive summer tour plans behind its first studio album of all-new material in more than a decade.
The outing is scheduled to get underway on March 7 in Columbus, Ohio, and more than 30 dates are currently confirmed at U.S. arenas.
Members of the band's fan club will be able to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public; details about the presale are available at the band's website.
The new album, titled "Say You Will," hit stores on April 15. The release marks Fleetwood Mac's first studio album featuring Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie since 1986's "Tango in the Night." Keyboardist-vocalist Christine McVie has retired from the group.
According to Reprise Records, the album was recorded in Los Angeles over 18 months, with Buckingham producing.
Fleetwood Mac's previous studio album of new material was 1990's "Behind the Mask," but it did not feature core member Buckingham. In 1997, the group released "The Dance," which combined re-workings of some of the band's old material with a few new tracks.
