New Found Glory, Good Charlotte lead Civic Tour

South Florida pop-punkers New Found Glory and fellow rockers Good Charlotte join forces for the latest edition of the Honda-sponsored Civic Tour, a 50-plus-city trek that gets underway in April.

Rounding out the bill are Less Than Jake and MxPx --who will alternate in the opening slot--and a fourth band, which will vary in each city.

Presale tickets for the tour are available prior to the public on-sale via the Civic Tour website.

New Found Glory has graced the main stage of the Vans Warped Tour for three years. Their self-titled Drive-Thru Records debut and their latest album, 2002's "Sticks and Stones," are both certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping more than 500,000 copies.

Good Charlotte, also a veteran Warped Tour act, sold more than 1 million copies of its self-titled debut album, according to publicists. The band's latest album is 2002's "The Young and the Hopeless."

Two Honda Civic Si's--one customized by New Found Glory and one customized by Good Charlotte--will be on display at all Civic Tour concerts before they are awarded to two lucky fans via a national online promotion at civictour.com, which begins on March 27. A total of 12 customized Civic Si's will be awarded through ten media promotions, the details of which are yet to be announced.

The inaugural Civic Tour took place in 2001, and was divided into two separate legs, one headlined by Blink-182, the other headlined by Everclear. Last year, Incubus headlined the outing, which touched down in more than 50 cities.
