Korn, Marilyn Manson, others sign on for Ozzfest 2003

Metal godfather Ozzy Osbourne will take time out from his busy television schedule in order to headline this summer's annual Ozzfest outing.

America's favorite foul-mouthed father has enlisted Korn , Marilyn Manson , Disturbed and Chevelle to join him on the summer festival's main-stage roster, according to organizers.

Cradle of Filth and Trust Company top the second-stage bill, which also features Shadow's Fall, Killswitch Engage, Nothingface, Hotwire, Grade 8, Twisted Method, Unloco and Memento. Additional second-stage acts will be named in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the outing--which kicks off in late June--will hit the box office sometime in March. A limited number of lawn seats for each show will be sold at venue box offices and/or other designated locations for $10 per ticket. Organizers advise ticket-buyers to check local listings and venue websites for further details.

Osbourne's backing-band lineup will feature longtime collaborators Zakk Wylde (guitar), Robert Trujillo (bass) and Michael Bordin (drums). The quartet will perform songs culled from Osbourne's 33-year career, organizers said.

The 14-hour event will again include its Village of the Damned concourse, which this year has been revamped with "state-of-the-art video games and some new surprises in addition to everyone's favorites such as piercing booths and world-class tattoo artists," according to a press release.

More than 4 million fans have attended Ozzfest over the last seven years, organizers claim.

An updated version of the event's official website will launch sometime in March.
