Norah Jones readies for the summer tour circuit

Singer-songwriter Norah Jones , who could pick up as many as five GRAMMY® awards later this month, takes to the road this summer for an extensive tour.

The outing is set for a June kick off in Florida, and will work its way westward through August, according to Blue Note Records.

The 23-year-old, who counts Billie Holiday and Nina Simone among her influences, released her debut album, "Come Away With Me," in February of 2002. It steadily climbed the Billboard 200 album chart and reached No. 1 nearly a year later. It has sold more than 3 million copies in the U.S. to date, according to industry sources.

The album garnered Jones GRAMMY nominations in the Album of the Year, Record of the Year (for the single "Don't Know Why"), Best New Artist, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance ("Don't Know Why") and Best Pop Vocal Album categories.

Jesse Harris, who wrote "Don't Know Why," is nominated for Song of the Year, and album-producer Arif Mardin is nominated for Best Producer, Non-Classical. Engineers Husky Huskolds, Jay Newland and Mardin are also vying for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.

"Come Away With Me" is a collection of originals by Jones and her bandmates--Harris and Lee Alexander--as well as covers of songs by Hank Williams, J.D. Loudermilk and Hoagy Charmichael.

Jones, the daughter of sitar great Ravi Shankar, is expected to release her sophomore album this fall.
