The woman found dead in Phil Spector [ tickets ]'s Los Angeles County home on Monday (2/3) morning has been identified as Lana Clarkson, whom Spector reportedly met hours earlier at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, where she worked as a hostess.

Clarkson, 40, starred in a series of "B" movies, including "Death Stalker," "Amazon Women on the Moon" and "The Barbarian Queen."

Spector was arrested at his mansion in Alhambra on Monday morning and charged with Clarkson's murder. He was free on $1 million bail by Monday night.

According to the Los Angeles Times, police said that they were called to Spector's home after the driver who had dropped the couple off at the mansion reported hearing gunshots.

Officers reportedly found Clarkson's body sprawled in the home's marble foyer, and immediately arrested Spector, who was the only other person in the house.

According to Reuters, Spector refused to talk to police about the incident and called his longtime lawyer Robert Shapiro. Shapiro was one of the attorneys who successfully defended O.J. Simpson in his murder case.
