George Strait, Bon Jovi and more on RodeoHouston bill
Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, George Strait , ZZ Top, Bon Jovi , LL Cool J and Ashanti, and Brooks & Dunn are among the 32 acts that will perform during this year's three-week RodeoHouston concert series.
The traditionally country-heavy roster also includes Alabama, Martina McBride, Robert Earl Keen, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Jerry Jeff Walker, according to organizers. The complete list of acts and their performance dates appears below.
Strait kicks off the series on Feb. 25, while Alabama--who later this year mounts a farewell tour--closes things on March 16.
All weekday performances begin at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday performances begin at 4 p.m., according to an event press release, which goes on to say that each show "begins immediately with rodeo events, continues with the calf scramble and grand salute, and ends with the concert entertainer."
This year's RodeoHouston concert series--which is part of the 71st annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo--takes place at Houston's new Reliant Stadium. The event was held at the city's Astrodome for the past 37 years. The new stadium will accommodate 10,000 more people for the event than the Astrodome was able to.
Detailed information about the event is posted at RodeoHouston's official website.
