Sixpence None the Richer tours behind 'Divine Discontent'

Christian-crossover act Sixpence None the Richer spends February on the North American club circuit as it backs "Divine Discontent," the group's third album of new material.

Austin, Texas-based Sixpence learned the ropes on the Christian rock scene before breaking into the mainstream with the 1998 No. 1 hit "Kiss Me." In 2000, the band scored a hit with its cover of the La's "There She Goes."

"Divine Discontent," which reached stores last October, was actually ready for release two years ago. Contractual wrangles kept the CD off the shelves before the band landed at its new home, Reprise Records.

"We were in the same situation earlier in our career, waiting for lawyers and accountants to decide our fate, and we've learned to be patient," vocalist Leigh Nash said in a statement. "Our music always seems to find its own time and place, and this is no different."

The first single from "Divine Discontent" is titled "Breathe Your Name." The single features the track "Northern Lights," which is available exclusively as a B-side, according to the band's official website.
