3 Doors Down mounts winter road trip

Singer Brad Arnold and his 3 Doors Down cohorts kick off their 2003 touring schedule on Wednesday night (1/8) in Atlanta.
The group hits theaters and clubs throughout the U.S. on this latest leg of its outing in support of last year's "Away from the Sun." The album, which surfaced in mid-November, debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 album chart, thanks in part to the cut "When I'm Gone," which spent five weeks in the No. 1 slot on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
The "When I'm Gone" music video is streaming at 3 Doors Down's official website. The clip was filmed overseas during the group's fall tour, which included performances at U.S. naval stations in Iran, Italy and Spain.
The band's website is also hosting a contest that runs until the end of January. Entrants have a shot at winning a trip to Juneau, Alaska.
"Away from the Sun" is the follow-up to 3 Doors Down's multi-platinum 2000 debut, "The Better Life."
