Jewel Launches String of Intimate Solo Engagements
Jewel continues her 2002 world tour with two months of solo acoustic dates beginning August 16.
Titled the New Wild West Tour, the string of dates is the singer/songwriter’s first run performing entire shows on guitar herself since a horseback riding accident in April. The shows will prove quieter and more intimate than her North American full-band arena tour, which began on June 14.
The artist made news this summer with the launch of Soul City Café, Jewel’s live showcase for developing talent. One of Jewel’s Soul City discoveries, Scooter Scudieri, will be her supporting act on this tour’s first seven dates.
