Hip-hop and Alt-Rock Hitmakers Unite for Summer Arena Package
Rapper Jay-Z and 311 have been confirmed as co-headliners of the Sprite-sponsored Liquid Mix Tour, set for a late-summer run at arenas nationwide.
Each stop on the 15-city tour boasts six hours of performances, including sets by Southern hip-hop group Nappy Roots, rap-rockers N.E.R.D. --led by celebrity producers the Neptunes--pop-punk act Hoobastank and conscious-rap stalwart Talib Kweli . Other acts are yet to be announced.
In line with the current trend of including non-music activities in multi-act concerts, the tour will also offer full-court basketball, an “urban playground” showcasing skaters and BMX bikers, a giant graffiti canvas, urban fashions, local DJ stations, and video games.
