Country legend Dolly Parton has announced her first proper tour in a decade.
The two month, 13-date trip begins with an already sold-out show at New York’s Irving Plaza and ends with two Missouri dates in late August. The dates will be preceded by a performance on NBC’s “Today Show” series of summer concerts on July 5.
The outing immediately follows the release of Parton’s new album, “Halos & Horns,” due July 9 on Sugar Hill Records. The album includes a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven,” which includes a choir.
