Creed to Resume Derailed “Weathered” Tour

Pop-rock icons Creed will recommence touring July 11 after calling off further dates in the wake of an auto accident in April.

The band plans to play 70 dates through the end of 2002, with this 30-date first leg set to begin in Virginia Beach.

Special guest Jerry Cantrell , former guitarist for Alice In Chains, will play select dates in the supporting slot, and Creed labelmates 12 Stones will open in all cities. Tickets from canceled shows will not be honored; tickets for new dates will go on sale in June and July.

Creed’s most recent album, 2001’s “Weathered,” has sold 5 million units to date according to Soundscan.
