Jewel maps out summer tour
Folk-pop singer Jewel has announced dates for her summer 2002 tour. Her current release, "This Way," has sold over 1 million copies to date, and the album's first single, "Standing Still," is in heavy radio and MTV rotation.
"It's about the irony of how much a person travels in my job, and how it can really cause your emotional life to stand still," Jewel told liveDaily recently of her new single: "Fame really tolerates a prolonged adolescence, and your fame and career can outgrow your ability to handle it. You can get really spoiled, and I wanted to get away from that and make sure I wasn't standing still."
The singer played a handful of radio shows during the holidays. She released the album's second single, "Break Me," on March 4.
