Puddle of Mudd laying out North American tour
Having backed out of a tour opening for Creed, Puddle of Mudd is heading out on its own North American headlining jaunt.
Puddle of Mudd will perform in Europe through the end of February; many of the dates are supporting Staind. It returns to the States in March to kick-off its North American jaunt on March 13 on South Padre Island, Texas.
So far, the dates run through early April. However, according to the band's spokesman, additional concerts are expected to be added.
Puddle of Mudd is touring in support of its major-label debut “Come Clean” (Flawless/Interscope), produced by Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst. The band was one of the first signed to Durst’s Flawless Records. The platinum-selling album, which spawned the hit single “Control,” sits at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Thirty Seconds to Mars which, according to its official site, is signed to Immortal/Virgin, is slated to be an opener. Fan sites list actor Jared Leto (“My So-Called Life,” “Requiem for a Dream,” “Fight Club”) as a band member. A Virgin/Immortal spokeswoman said she could not confirm that as she had no information about the band.
