Billboard.com reported that Eminem is wrapping up work on his third album, "The Eminem Show, which is he is co-producing with Dr. Dre. The album, due in April, is the follow-up to 2000's "The Marshall Mathers LP," which has sold more than 8 million copies.
Dave Matthews Band, 'NSync with Nelly, and a tribute to the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?'' soundtrack--including performances by Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, Ralph Stanley, the Soggy Bottom Boys and Gillian Welch--will perform during the 44th Annual Grammy Awards telecast, which takes place on Feb. 27 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Previously announced performers include U2 and Alicia Keys.
NME.com reported that Oasis has completed a new album, which is tentatively set for release this summer.
Joan Osborne and Shawn Colvin, with special guests Matthew Andrae and Deep Blue Something, will perform at WorldSong 2002--The Next Country Over, a live concert "to promote world peace and harmony," organizers said in a press release. The concert--"an officially sanctioned community event of the 2002 Salt Lake Cultural Olympiad"-- is scheduled to take place on Feb. 21 at the McKay Event Center on the Utah Valley State College campus in Orem, Utah.
Boyz II Men (currently at work on their first album for Arista), Daryl Hall & John Oates, McFadden & Whitehead, Musiq Soulchild and City High will perform at the NBA's "All-Star Saturday Night," which will be televised live at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday (2/9).
