Popper, DiFranco, Hornsby, others mark anniversary of Roe v. Wade

To commemorate the upcoming 29th anniversary of Roe v. Wade--the landmark Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion--abortion-rights group Voters for Choice has enlisted the help of John Popper , Ani DiFranco , Bruce Hornsby and Joe Henry, all of whom are scheduled to perform at a benefit concert in Washington D.C. next month.

The four musicians will each give an acoustic performance at George Washington University's Lisner Auditorium on Jan. 19, according to Voters for Choice. Tickets for the event will hit the box office on Saturday (12/22), and, in addition to regularly priced tickets, a limited number of silver- and gold-circle seats are available through Voters for Choice's official website at a cost of $100 and $250, respectively.

The event will be hosted by Voters for Choice founder Gloria Steinem, and proceeds from the concert will benefit both Voters for Choice and the Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan, according to Voters for Choice.
