P. Diddy to open on Britney Spears' final tour stops
When Britney Spears makes her final two U.S. tour stops of the year in Miami and Washington, D.C., her show opener will no longer be fellow pop act O-Town, but a seemingly less compatible choice: rap mogul Sean "P. Diddy" Combs.
Combs will open for Spears on Wednesday (12/19) in Miami and on Dec. 21 in Washington, D.C., according to a press release. The rapper will be performing tracks from his July album "P. Diddy & the Bad Boy Family: The Saga Continues …," released on his own Bad Boy Entertainment label, as well as hits from previous releases "No Way Out" and "Forever," the release said.
The rapper's collaboration with Combs stems from a "new relationship" between Combs and Spears' manager, Johnny Wright, MTV reported.
Spears has been touring the U.S. since early November in support of her Nov. 6 release, "Britney" (Jive). The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
Combs' "The Saga Continues …" surfaced in July and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The album features the hit "Bad Boy for Life," featuring Combs with Black Rob and Mark Curry. That song peaked at No. 12 on Billboard's Hot Rap/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
