Weekend Ticketing: Neil Diamond, Billy Joel and Elton John, Luis Miguel, more

Just before the holidays, Neil Diamond wraps up the first leg of his first tour in three years. The second leg of his North American outing gets underway in February, and tickets are about to hit the market.

General on-sales will begin on Monday (12/3) for eight of Diamond's February appearances, starting at 8 a.m. Eastern Time in State College, Pa.

At 10 a.m. Eastern Time, on-sales get underway for Diamond's upcoming shows in Tampa, Orlando, Miami and Pensacola, Fla., as well as Charlotte, N.C. At 10 a.m. Central Time, on-sales begin in San Antonio, Texas.

Billy Joel and Elton John have added new dates to their stands in Hartford, Conn., and Philadelphia. Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (12/1)

The wildly popular Mexican performer Luis Miguel has scheduled some U.S. dates for early 2002. Tickets for Miguel's Jan. 24 appearance in San Diego go on sale on Friday (11/30) at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, and tickets for his Jan. 29-31 run at the Universal Amphitheatre near Los Angeles hit the market on Friday at 1 p.m. Pacific Time.

Tickets for his Feb. 7 show in Houston go on sale at 10 a.m. Central Time on Saturday (12/1), and tickets for his Feb. 12 concert in New York City will be available at noon Eastern Time on Saturday.

Solo tenor Luciano Pavorotti performs at American Airlines Arena in Dallas on Feb. 9. Tickets go on sale on Friday (11/30) at 10 a.m. Central Time.

Rappers Wu Tang Clan are scheduled to perform at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on Dec. 19. Tickets go on sale at noon Eastern Time on Friday (11/30).

Luther Vandross appears at the Charleston, W. Va., Municipal Auditorium on Dec. 28. Tickets go on sale on Monday (12/3) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

New ticket on-sales continue to emerge for R&B singer Brian McKnight, with at least four set for the coming days. Tickets for his performance in Charlotte, N.C. will go on sale on Friday (10/30) at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

On Saturday (12/1), 10 a.m. ticket on-sales are set for McKnight's appearances in Raleigh, N.C., and Cincinnati. A noon on-sale is set for Minneapolis.

Sugar Ray has scheduled a three-night stand for Feb. 15-17 at the Reno (Nev.) Hilton. Tickets go on sale on Saturday (12/1) at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

KROQ-radio's Almost Acoustic Christmas festival shows take place on Dec. 8 and 9 at the Universal Amphitheatre near Los Angeles. Tickets for the first night will go on sale at noon Pacific Time on Saturday (12/1), and tickets for the second will go on sale at noon Pacific Time on Sunday (12/2).
