Good Charlotte extends inaugural headlining run
Ska-punk quintet Good Charlotte , which last month launched its first headlining tour, has extended the run into late December. The group is touring in support of its self-titled debut.
The Maryland-based band released "Good Charlotte" (Epic) in September 2000. The album features the single "Little Things." In June, Epic re-released the album in an enhanced-CD format that features the "Little Things" video.
After the Dec. 22 wrap-up of its current tour, Good Charlotte plans to take the holiday season off, and then in February, it will head into the studio to begin recording its second album, according to a message that bassist Paul posted on the group's official website. The group is aiming for an April or May release.
Fellow ska-punk act Mest--which released its sophomore effort, "Destination Unknown" (Warner Bros.) on Tuesday (11/13)--will support Good Charlotte at all of the upcoming dates. Lefty will open from Nov. 17 through Nov. 25, Sugarcult from Nov. 26 through Dec. 12 and Midtown from Dec. 13 through Dec. 22.
Good Charlotte's tour continues on Friday night (11/16) in Lawrence, Kan., and will feature Mest and Movie Life.
