Briefly: NASCAR compilation features Metallica, Sammy Hagar tracks
plus: Enrique Iglesias sets concert dates. Ocean Colour Scene calls off tour. New Busta Rhymes album due.
"I Can't Drive 65," an updated version of Sammy Hagar 's 1984 hit "I Can't Drive 55," is among the tracks that appear on "NASCAR: Full Throttle" (Hybrid/Atlantic) the racing organization's first compilation to feature rock artists.
The 13-track CD also includes Metallica 's "Fuel For Fire," an alternate version of "Fuel" (from the "Reload" album) with different lyrics.
Latin pop star Enrique Iglesias has scheduled three shows in support of his new CD "Escape" (Interscope). They are: Dec. 12 at Paul E. Tsongas Arena in Lowell, Mass. (KISS 108 "Jingle Ball"), New York's Madison Square Garden on Dec. 13 (Z100 "Jingle Ball"), and an as-of-yet unconfirmed venue in Philadelphia on Dec. 14.
A planned North American tour by Ocean Coluor Scene has been scrapped due to an illness in the band, according to a spokesperson.
"Genesis," Busta Rhymes fifth solo album and his first for Clive Davis' J Records label, is set for release on Nov. 27. The Neptunes, Pete Rock, Diamond D, Dr. Dre and Battlecat are among the album's producers.
