Nick Cave sets new North American tour itinerary
Having postponed an autumn tour of North America in light of the Sept. 11 attacks, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have rescheduled the 14-city, 17-date jaunt for next April and May.
The shows will highlight songs from the band's critically acclaimed 2001 release, "No More Shall We Part," which finds Australian singer-songwriter Cave at his most sensitive. Live favorites such as the raucous "Mercy Seat" and the tender "Into My Arms" likely will make the set list as well.
Cave toured with a stripped-down three-piece band in April, hitting select cities and playing a wealth of new numbers as well as old favorites, some from his days with the Birthday Party.
Next year's tour will feature the entire Bad Seeds line-up, including Einstuerzende Neubauten guitarist Blixa Bargeld and multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey. Opening acts have not yet been announced.
