Busy tour schedule ahead for Lonestar

The country act Lonestar will continue its busy touring schedule through December. Jamie O'Neal is opening the most of the tour, which kicked off earlier this month, while Blake Shelton jumps on in November.

While on tour, Lonestar lead singer Richie McDonald has been training for the Marine Corps Marathon, which benefits St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis. He has pledged to raise a minimum of $1,000 prior to the race, which takes place on Sunday (10/28) in Washington, D.C.

Lonestar's latest album, "I'm Already There" (BMG/BNA Records), sits at No. 106 on the Billboard 200 album chart, and No. 10 on the magazine's Top Country Albums chart, both dated Oct. 27. The multi-platinum act's single, "With Me," landed at No. 13 on Radio and Records Magazine's Oct. 19 country chart. The band is up for Vocal Group of the Year, Song of the Year ("I'm Already There") and Single of the Year ("I'm Already There") at this year's CMA Awards, which takes place on Nov. 7 in Nashville.

Lonestar has been on the road for much of the year, having spent the spring with the George Strait Country Music Festival, and the summer on a headlining tour.

O'Neal scored two No. 1 singles on Billboard's Hot Country Singles and Tracks Chart this year--"There Is No Arizona" and "When I Think About Angels." Her 2000 album, "Shiver" (Mercury Records), recently went gold. She is nominated for Music Video of the Year ("There is No Arizona") and the Horizon Award at CMA Awards. This summer, O'Neal toured with the Girls Night Out, which featured Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Sara Evans and Carolyn Dawn Johnson.

Shelton is touring in support of his self-titled debut album. The first single from the Warner Bros. release, "All Over Me," entered Billboard's country chart earlier this month.
