Social Distortion maps route into 2002

As promised last month, Social Distortion has added more dates to its upcoming road trip, including several multi-night stands in its home state of California. The group's itinerary now runs into January.

The veteran punk-rock act, which played a handful of dates late last month, will return to the road in early November for a string of Northeastern dates that wraps up with a three-night stand in New York City. New December and January dates in California include three-night stands at the House of Blues clubs in Hollywood and Anaheim.

Tickets for all of the upcoming shows are on sale now, according to the band's official website.

The band's recent set list has featured several new songs, according to popular Social Distortion fan site SxDx.net, including an instrumental titled "White Zombie," "Winners and Losers," "I Wasn't Born to Follow," "Don't Take Me for Granted" and "Footprints on My Ceiling."

Social Distortion is currently at work on a new album that it hopes to release next spring, according to a July Los Angeles Times interview with band founder and frontman Mike Ness. The release will be the group's first since the death of guitarist Dennis Danell last February.
