P.O.D. follows Top 10 album with headlining tour
Christian rock-rappers P.O.D. have mapped out a tour in support of their new album, "Satellite."
The band, whose name stands for Payable on Death, kicks off its tour on Oct. 18 in Phoenix; the tour is expected to run into December. The jaunt has been dubbed Youth of the Nation, after a song of the same name on "Satellite" (Atlantic). Fenix TX and Blindside are slated to open the performances.
P.O.D.'s "Satellite" debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 album chart and dropped to No. 8 on the chart dated Oct. 6. The first single, "Alive," sits at No. 25 on Radio and Records alternative radio chart and at No. 20 on the same magazine's active rock chart.
Blindside is a Sweden-based Christian rock group whose lead singer, Christian Lindskog, appears on the song "Anything Right" on "Satellite." The band released "A Thought Crushed My Mind" (Tooth and Nail) in 2000.
Warped Tour veterans Fenix TX are pushing "Lechuza" (MCA), as well as its latest single "Threesome."
