Live sets up headlining run to follow Jane's Addiction outing

SEPT. 28, 6:55 P.M. ET Alt-rock act Live has lined up plans to embark on a headlining tour of U.S. theaters and colleges in late October, immediately following its opening stint on Jane’s Addiction’s reunion tour. Live will be touring in support of its latest release, “V.”
The group will kick off its tour with Jane’s Addiction on Tuesday (10/2), and is scheduled to occupy a support slot on that outing until Sept. 23. The group will, however, take a break from that tour in mid-October to perform some previously scheduled European dates, including a three-night stand in Rotterdam.
The group’s North American headlining run will then begin in Los Angeles on Sept. 26.
Live’s new album, “V” (MCA/Radioactive), arrived in stores on Sept. 17, and debuted at No. 22 on the Billboard 200 album chart. “Simple Creed,” the album’s first single, recently peaked at No. 18 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart.
The album’s track “Overcome,” meanwhile, has received significant airplay following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, as has its companion music video. The video comprises footage of the disaster site in New York City and emergency workers at the scene.
