Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks tour through November

Former Pavement singer Stephen Malkmus has scheduled fall North American tour slated to start on Oct. 19 at the All Tomorrow's Parties festival in Los Angeles. Prior to that, he will perform at Seattle's Bumbershoot Festival on Saturday (9/1).

All Tomorrow's Parties is a three-day event, curated by Sonic Youth, and featuring Malkmus, Eddie Vedder and a host of independent and experimental musicians and artists.

Malkmus released his self-titled solo debut on Matador Records earlier this year. His Portland-bred band, the Jicks, includes Joanna Bolme on bass and John Moen on drums.

The latest single off Malkmus' debut album is "Jenny and the Ess-Dog," which includes three tracks not on the album. Pavement released its last album, "Terror Twilight," in 1999.
