Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers Set Multi-Night Stand In San Francisco
Tom Petty will spend the early part of March in San Francisco, playing a seven-night stand at the 1,200-capacity Fillmore Theatre. Tickets, for March 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15 and 16, reportedly sold out very quickly on Sunday after being announced with little fanfare late last week via local media.
Petty and his longtime recording and touring band the Heartbreakers are preparing to release Echo, the first Heartbreakers-billed release since 1996's soundtrack from ''She's The One,'' on April 13th. According to Petty's publicists, the album retains the production team of Petty, guitarist Mike Campbell and Rick Rubin, who co-produced Petty's first two Warner Brothers efforts, She's The One and 1994's Wildflowers.
The Fillmore hosted Petty and the Heartbreakers for a 20-night stay in January and February of 1997.
