Godsmack and Deftones postpone one show, cancel another due to injury

Godsmack and Deftones have postponed their Tuesday night (8/7) performance in Atlanta, and have canceled their Thursday night (8/9) stop in Antioch, Tenn., according to Godsmacks publicist. The schedule changes have been made to allow Godsmack bassist Robbie Merrill sufficient time to recover from a recent leg injury.
The nature and severity of Merrills injury was not specified.
The Atlanta show will likely be made up in mid-September, according to Godsmacks spokesperson, but no date has been confirmed. There are no plans to reschedule the Antioch concert.
Ticket refunds for both shows are available at the point of purchase, according to venue spokespeople.
Last month, Deftones were the ones dealing with an injured member. The group canceled several of its performances because singer Chino Moreno was suffering from a severe vocal injury, according to a press release issued at the time.
Godsmack and Deftones are expected to resume their tour on Friday night (8/10) in St. Louis.
