Janet Jackson adds shows, locks in venues for summer run
Janet Jackson has lined up venues for all of her previously announced North American stops on this summer’s “All For You” tour. In addition, several new cities have been added to Jackson's itinerary, and some multi-night stands have been scheduled.
Tickets for many dates have already gone on sale, and strong demand has resulted in the addition of second nights in Auburn Hills, Mich.; Washington, D.C.; New York City; Boston; Philadelphia; Anaheim, Calif.; and Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, Jackson’s itinerary now also includes a three-night stand in Chicago and a two-night stand in Los Angeles.
A previously announced Sept. 1 stop in Greensboro, N.C., is now set for Sept. 4 in Charlotte.
Jackson’s North American outing is scheduled to run through mid-October. A subsequent European leg kicks off in late-October, and dates are set through December.
Jackson has teamed with MSN to offer a promotion through which fans can purchase pre- and post-sale tickets to her upcoming North American tour stops, according to her official website. To participate in the pre-sale, fans must sign up for an MSN Internet Access account.
“All For You” (Virgin) was released in late April and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album’s title-track is at No. 2 on the latest Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, where it spent the previous seven weeks at No. 1.
