Madonna adds additional nights in New York, Los Angeles
update: After a second straight week of quickly selling out all tickets that went on sale for her summer outing, Madonna has added additional nights to her stands in New York and Los Angeles.
Tickets for the five new shows are scheduled to go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, May 30. On-sales for the new shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden--scheduled to take place on July 28, 30 and 31--will begin at 9 a.m. Eastern Time. Tickets for just-added Sept. 14 and 15 shows at Staples Center in Los Angeles will go on sale at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, according to tour sources.
As with the other shows on Madonna’s tour, current AOL subscribers and new members will have a shot at purchasing a limited number of tickets during a pre-sale. The pre-sale for the five new shows begins on Wednesday (5/30), and more information is available at Madonna’s official website.
According to Madonna’s official website, tickets went on sale for two Madonna shows each in New York, East Rutherford, N.J., Washington, D.C., Miami, Atlanta, Las Vegas and Los Angeles between Saturday (4/19) and Monday (5/21), and all 14 shows have sold out.
Earlier this month, tickets for the U.S. leg of Madonna's Drowned World Tour went on sale in five other U.S. markets--Philadelphia, Boston, Detroit, Chicago and Oakland, Calif.--and all shows sold out "within hours," according to tour promoter SFX Entertainment.
