Summer dates emerge for Godsmack, Deftones

Godsmack will spend the latter half of its summer on a U.S. headlining run that will also feature the Deftones and opening act Puddle of Mudd. The stateside jaunt will follow Godsmack’s imminent European tour with Limp Bizkit .

Tickets for a number of Godsmack’s U.S. dates are on sale now, and several additional shows are set to hit the box office this Friday (5/11) and Saturday (5/12). Details appear in the itinerary below.

Next week, Limp Bizkit and Godsmack are set to kick-off a five-week European tour with a May 16 performance in Amsterdam. The outing--dubbed the “You’re ah peein’” tour, according to Bizkit’s official website--is scheduled to wrap up in Dublin on June 26.

While in Europe, both Limp Bizkit and Godsmack are scheduled to perform at several festivals, including the German Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring festivals; both festivals feature an identical and lengthy roster of artists that includes Guns N’ Roses, Radiohead, Kid Rock, OutKast, Tool and others.

Godsmack is touring in support of last October’s “Awake” (Republic/Universal), which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 album chart. Last month, the Boston-based act turned its seven Boston Music Awards nominations into four trophies: Act of the Year, Best Rock Band, Album of the Year (“Awake”) and Male Vocalist of the Year for frontman Sully Erna.

Deftones’ “White Pony” (Maverick) debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 album chart last summer.

Puddle of Mudd, one of the first acts signed to Flawless Records--Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst’s imprint on Interscope Records--is currently on tour with Staind.
