Two Hartford, Conn. shows--on Aug. 3 and 4 at the ctnow.com Meadows Music Theatre--have been added to Dave Matthews Band 's summer tour itinerary. The ordering period for tickets offered through the band's Warehouse ticketing system has begun, and tickets will go on sale through traditional outlets on May 19 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.
98 Degrees postponed appearances in San Diego, Los Angeles and Salt Lake City because group member Jeff Timmons suffered a back injury, according to tour promoters. The shows hadn't been rescheduled by press time.
Tiger Jam IV--a fundraiser for the Tiger Woods Foundation that featured John Mellencamp , Third Eye Blind, Kid Rock, Seal, Incubus and other celebrities--raised more than $1 million for the charity, publicists said. The event took place on Saturday (4/28) in Las Vegas. Woods' foundation aims to "empower children to reach their highest potential" through "golf clinics, motivational speeches, educational programs, the support of local heroes, and direct grants."
TVN Entertainment Corp. announced that it will transmit a Destiny's Child concert to five movie theatres with digital capabilities. The theatres are in Phoenix, New York, Houston, Dallas and Kansas City, and are part of the AMC chain.
A new album featuring remixes of previously released recordings will be released by the Goo Goo Dolls on May 29, according to the band's publicist. The 22-track set, titled "What I Learned About Ego, Opinion, Art & Commerce (1987-2000)" (Warner Bros.), features songs from all six of the bands previous albums.
