Green Day's summer tour plans emerge
With Australian rockabilly/punk band the Living End in tow, Green Day will begin a summer tour on June 17 in Minneapolis.
The East Coast jaunt, in support of its 2000 album "Warning" (Reprise), visits concert halls and smaller arenas. The band's core lineup of guitarist-vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tre Cool will be fortified with guitarist Jason White for the tour.
Green Day has also scheduled an April 27 stop on "The Late Show with David Letterman," as well as performances in three European festivals. In other Green Day TV news, VH1 is planning a "Behind the Music" episode about the band, due to air later this year.
Warped Tour veterans the Living End released its sophomore effort "Roll On" (Reprise) on March 27.
