Weekend Ticketing: Backstreet Boys, 'NSync, Eagles, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Buffett, more
Last weekend, ticket sales for Backstreet Boys ’ summer North American tour were strong enough in some markets to justify the addition of second shows. This Saturday (3/31), Backstreet Boys tickets are set to go on sale in at least seven cities.
At 9 a.m. Eastern Time, tickets hit the market for the group’s East Rutherford, N.J., tour stop. At 10 a.m., tickets for shows in the Bristow, Va.; Lexington, Ky.; Tampa and Orlando markets will go on sale.
Noon on-sales are planned for the tour’s Hershey, Pa., and Indianapolis stops.
‘NSync’s tour will visit the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis on June 24. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Central Time on Saturday (3/31).
The Eagles announced this week that they’ll just play one U.S. concert in 2001: at the new American Airlines Center in Dallas on July 28. Tickets to the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Central Time on Saturday.
Tickets for Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band's appearance in Camden, N.J., will go on sale at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (3/31). Meanwhile, a 10 a.m. Central Time on-sale is planned for shows in the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. A noon Mountain Time on-sale is scheduled for the tour's Denver stop.
Eric Clapton tickets continue to enter the market. At 9 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (3/31), tickets will be released for the tour’s Atlanta stop, and a 10 a.m. Eastern Time on-sale is set for shows in Charlotte, N.C., and Auburn Hills, Mich.
Tickets to James Taylor ’s tour stop in Minneapolis will go on sale at noon on Saturday (3/31). Tickets for his June 14 and 15 appearances at the Theater at Madison Square Garden will go on sale on Tuesday (4/3) at 10 a.m.
This year’s Charlie Daniels Band-led Volunteer Jam also features .38 Special, the Dickey Betts Band and others. Tickets for the tour’s Jacksonville, Fla., and Cincinnati stops will go on sale at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (3/31).
The B-52’s are lining up some summer dates on the West Coast. Tickets for two shows in San Diego and one show in Anaheim, Calif., will go on sale at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Saturday (3/31).
Country duo Brooks & Dunn has assembled the Neon Circus and Wild West Show, which will also feature Toby Keith, Montgomery Gentry and Keith Urban. Ticket for shows in Raleigh, N.C.; Charlotte, N.C.; Virginia Beach, Va.; and Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, are scheduled to go on sale at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on Saturday (3/31).
Tickets for the tour’s stop in Selma, Texas, will hit the market at 10 a.m. Central Time.
