Paul Simon continues road support of 'You're the One'
Recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Paul Simon is set to return to the road in late April and early May, according to his record label. The veteran singer-songwriter has lined up a brief outing that features four dates in Texas and a two-night stand at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
Tickets to all six of Simons upcoming performances are on sale now. Ticketmaster is handling the tours April 27, 29 and May 1 shows, while StarTickets.com is handling the May 2 stop. Information regarding tickets to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is available at the festivals official website. (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company.)
More dates are expected, according to a spokesperson.
Simons most recent run through the U.S. took place last November and December and consisted of roughly a dozen dates that were concentrated primarily on the east and west coasts.
On Thursday (3/29), Simon is scheduled to join a roster of artists--including Elton John, Ann and Nancy Wilson (Heart), and Sir George Martin--at an event dubbed An All-Star Tribute to Brian Wilson. The tribute to the former Beach Boy is set to air this summer on TNT, according to Simons official website.
Youre the One (Warner Bros.), Simons most recent album, was released last October. The disc was nominated in the Album of the Year category at this years Grammy Awards, and has been gold-certified by the Recording Industry Association of America.
On March 19, Simon was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist; he had previously been inducted as a member of a group in 1990 for his work in Simon and Garfunkel.
