Backstreet Boys nail down venues for summer outing

Backstreet Boys , who earlier this month announced dates and cities for their upcoming summer tour, have now lined up venues for the outing. The group has also added five Canadian dates to its itinerary.

Tickets to nine of the tour’s stops--including all five of the Canadian shows--are set to go on sale on Saturday (3/24), according to tour promoter SFX Entertainment. Details appear in the itinerary below.

The tour’s August 18 stop in Los Angeles is the only date for which a venue has not been confirmed, according to Backstreet Boys’ official website.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (3/23-3/25), Backstreet Boys will wrap up the first leg of their North American tour with a three-night stand in Mexico City. A month-long break is then planned before the group takes to the road again for a series of dates in South America and Puerto Rico that will precede the upcoming second North American leg.

As previously reported, R&B-rap artist Shaggy has been tapped as the opening act for Backstreet Boys’ upcoming North American tour. Also scheduled to appear on the outing is 19-year-old singer-pianist Krystal, whose debut album, “Me and My Piano,” is due out this summer.

“Black & Blue” was released last November, and was certified eight-times platinum in December.
