Wes Borland's BIGdumbFACE touts tour plans
In a quirky press release that shows his comic side, Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland announced his forthcoming tour with his side project BIGdumbFACE:
"For some reason, you have received a press release on BIGdumbFACE. Either some big shot music industry person has tricked you into taking interest in BIGdumbFACE or there is just something wrong with you. But let's face the facts: If I weren't the guitar player for Limp Bizkit, this sheet of paper would have been in your waste paper basket a long time ago," he wrote.
"Nevertheless, some of us dumb bastards get the chance to do something great once in a blue moon."
BIGdumbFACE kicks off a 24-date club tour on March 15 in Seattle. The jaunt comes a little more than two weeks after the March 6 release of its debut record "Duke Lion Fights the Tiger" (Interscope).
In line with his penchant for make-up and costumes, Borland has baptized his bandmates with quirky names. BIGdumbFACE includes guitarist-vocalist Borland ("Tongue of Colicab"), guitarist-vocalist--and Borland's brother--Scott ("The Cardboard Urinal"), guitarist-vocalist Kyle Weeks ("The Three-Headed Demetrian Pup"), drummer Greg Isabel ("Joe Couch") and bassist-vocalist Chris Gibbs ("Moivet O'sphelvey").
